Knd --2nd Grade PE Class - The student's motor development concepts were assessed this week. Some of these concepts included: body and spatial awareness, locomotor and non-locomotor skills, pathways, levels, and tempos. The students were also assessed for their social and personal development. The students are practicing the cooperation skills of working with others toward a common goal, including all members in an activity, following the rules, playing safely and under control and listening to instructions.

3rd-8th Grade PE Class - The students were assessed for cooperative skills during games in PE class. These skills included using verbal cues to communicate with others, taking time and following rules, encouraging others, taking turns being the leader, working with and helping others, and communicating respectfully.

7th-8th Grade Health Class - The students have been working hard to create their MRA goals this week in health class. They chose between mathematical or linguistic, social, emotional or study skills, and physical fitness, music, naturalist or computer goals. They will transfer them into their E-Portfolios so that they can monitor their progress and share them with their parents. Next week we will be starting to study physical activity and nutrition.

Our Leaderfit group met on Thursday and generated a lot of great ideas for our school events. Our students will be starting the Parking Patrol this coming Monday. There will not be a Leaderfit Meeting this Thursday, Oct. 25th.
