OBOB ASSEMBLY

Updated: Mar 3, 2019

OBOB Assembly

MRA's 3rd-5th grade OBOB teams have worked hard to make it to the final round of competition for the chance to compete at Regionals. They participated in a final battle between the Golden Readers and Infinity Readers on at our school assembly on Wednesday.

Congratulations to the Trillium class for collecting the most money this week for our Share The Love Fundraiser! You have earned a "Free Dress" day for your class this Monday! MRA has earned a total of $305.20 as a school. Remember, the money that we collect makes a difference to the families in Molalla. Thanks again to the LeaderFit students for working hard and counting the money for our school every week.

K-2 Grade - These grades started their unit by working on the manipulative skills of dribbling, volleying and striking. Many movement skill fundamentals are addressed in this unit, such as bouncing, catching, and dribbling balls of different sizes: striking objects with a hand, then progressing to short and long handled implements. (paddles and bats) They will also be practicing their volleying skills where students practice with balloons and beachballs.

3-8 Grade - These students finished working with flying discs this week. They followed a high-activity skill progression that worked in small groups, few rules, and equalized play. The students look forward to playing the games of Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf outside when the weather gets better in a few weeks.

Next week is MRA's Spirit Week! The students are welcome to dress in the following themes:

Monday - Sports Day

Tuesday - Crazy Hair Day

Wednesday - Dr. Seuss Day

Thursday - Career Day

Friday - Pajama Day
