The Leaderfit team started their Parking Patrol job this week! They created a great system of keeping the students safe while directing the cars efficiently to drop off their children.

K-2 Grades: The kindergarten through second graders continued to practice many of the MRA playground rules to games. They are collaborating to figure out the most successful rules for the game of soccer on the playground. The students will be starting their exercise assessments next week.

3-8 Grades: The third through eighth graders learned a new ASAP (As soon As Possible) game called Rock, Paper, Scissors Splits. The students will play this activity for their warm up before they participate in PE lessons.

The students continued to practice the MRA rules to dodgeball. They had fun using their throwing and catching skills while they practiced the important cooperative elements of encouraging others, working with others, including all group members in the activity, playing safely and under control, and listening to instructions. The students will be starting their exercise assessments next week.

7-8 Health Class: The health classes have started a new unit on emotions and behaviors. They have learned about self-esteem and self-image and how internal influences can play a role in health choices.
