Raindrop Romp 5 K

Physical Education:

K-2nd Graders: The Trillium and Huckleberries practiced their teamwork and sportsmanship participating in a variety of games this week. They played Parachute Activities, Clean Your House, Clean Your Yard, One Fish Two Fish and Elbow Tag.

3-8th Graders: These students learned and practiced the MRA rules to Mat Ball. We also worked on our teamwork and sportsmanship skills during this game.

Health:

The Cedars have been learning about the five components of fitness. They've been playing games that reinforce the concepts of the lesson. They had fun playing Heart Health Relay where they were blood cells that delivered oxygen from the heart to their particular muscle as quickly as they could. The object of the game was to see which muscles were the happiest and had the most oxygen!

Events:

5 K Raindrop Romp: MRA students and parents participated in our second 5 K race on Thursday. The weather was gorgeous and didn't rain at all!

Track Club: MRA will be running every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of May to see how far they can run as a group across the United States - They are hoping to reach the Atlantic Ocean! Please come and join us as we walk/run laps together at the student's lunch time. We will start the Track Club on Thursday, May 2nd and continue until Thursday, May 30th.
