Share the Love Change Drive

Former MRA students Kelsey M. and Lola M. led an assembly for the "Share The Love" Fundraiser at MRA this Wednesday.
Every February Molalla High School and the community of Molalla host an outreach fundraiser called Share the Love. The committee selects families who live in Molalla who have fell upon difficult times and are in need of extra financial support. MRA feels it is important to invest in our community and we participate by collecting change. Every classroom has a change container for donations and the change will be counted every Thursday afternoon by the LeaderFit Group. The class who raised the most that week will win free dress the following Monday! Winners will be announced in the memo each Friday. Please check out the flyer on the MRA wesbite for a list of the community events. Every event helps raise money to support these families.
K-2 Graders - Finished up their unit on "Catching & Throwing" this week.
3-8 Graders - Started a new unit called "Flying Discs." This unit will provide activities for students to practice, develop and apply skills such as backhand, forehand and hammer throws, catching and offensive and defensive strategies required for successful game play. We'll be ending the unit by playing the games of Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf.
