The Huckleberry students have had a series of art classes by experimenting with the elements of art by using a variety of lines, shapes and colors to create abstract art inspired by the artist Wassily Kandinsky. They are listening to Piano Concerto No. 23 by the composer Mozart while they worked.

MRA EVENTS

Join us this Thursday, March 7th at 3:15 for our Heart Hop 5K! The cost is $5.00 a student or $10.00 per family. The racers will receive a heart charm to add to their MRA collection. We hope you will join us for some fun and exercise! Please sign up in the office if you are interested.

Share The Love Fundraiser

As many of you know, every February Molalla High School and the community of Molalla host an outreach fundraiser called Share the Love. The committee selects families who live in Molalla who have fell upon difficult times and are in need of extra financial support. MRA feels it is important to invest in our community and we participate by collecting change. Every classroom had a change container for donations and worked as a school to collect as much as they could for the cause. The class who raised the most money each week won a "free dress" day for themselves the following Monday. Good job MRA - you collected a total of $375.37 as a school for this important cause!

ASSEMBLIES

This Tuesday we will have author Michelle Nelson-Schmidt coming to visit for an assembly. Meeting the published author and hearing her speak will be fun for the students.
